Insecurities (Poem)

That ache of longing, the pestering throb

One product of all those hated flaws

It hurts so much, you just want to sob

But it won’t release you, from its claws

That shuffling cowering walk

A losing battle of that constant struggle

Light and darkness, interlock

An eternal war, that survives us all

The stranger that has caught your heart

Will unknowingly, squeeze you into obscurity

Endure the pain, press the restart

Oh, these dreadful insecurities
